If we can't get the original back on the air, then we make our own version! A tribute to the original Cheez Tv and everything that made it great!
This is the plan: Fans from all over the country (basically, us) get together and make suggestions for segments. They can be remixes of previous Cheez segments or brand new ones, as long as they're good.
Individual or small groups of fans can then get together and MAKE these segments in their spare time, either at home or at a television studio if you're rich enough to own one.
Once these segments are filmed, send them to me. Then, yours truly will splice them together and create episodes of our new show!
Note: If anyone wants to create some home-made cartoons to go in-between segments, that would also be greatly appreciated.
Then, we post the episodes on as many Internet Video Sites as we can find, wait for the applause to settle down, then contact a TV Network about syndication.
Simple as that.
GOT ANY IDEAS? POST 'EM!

i think this is a great idea. I'll contribute when i get a job and can afford to spend some money of it. i wouldn't want it to be cheap.

It doesn't matter if it's cheap, just so long as it's entertaining. For example, The Restless Cheez was pretty dodgy (on purpose, admittedly), but it was all the more funny for it.

Personally, I think everyone is creative, they're just not aware of it. It doesn't have to be through visual media, creativity can appear in any area of life. Tell you what, if you're not confident about writing or filming something, how would you feel about promoting the show? We will need a " Street Team" to post links to our show on other sites, and let people know in real life that they can see Cheez again. Of course, that would be after we finish filming an episode...

Mate, you are more than welcome to join us, we appreciate all the help we can get! Having already done this kind of thing yourself, any tips or advice you can give would be freakin' awesome! And yeah, I've noticed that Toasted TV seems to have a pretty high turn-over in terms of hosts (compared with other shows). Not sure why... Anyway, the first task is organisation of content for Episode 1. This is an easy one, we just list the stuff we would wanna see in our show, e.g.: - Animated Intro with Theme Music (obviously).
- A short segment of "The Other Side".
- A random, fan-made cartoon (preferably only a couple of minutes).
I figure each Ep. would only last for about 5 to 10 minutes, so it shouldn't be too hard to come up with content to fill it. This goes for everyone! Start listing!@palmer: I'll contact you on facebook in case you don't see this message.

I would not mind helpping but at this stage I will have to look into doing it when I come back from my trip overseas in a month and a half time.
Question: What are the limitations to the animations? Obviously if we are aiming towards the Cheez TV audience we will have language barriers but as to format of animations, live/human segments and audio clips?
Question: Since we are working on somewhat of a team (online users of this site) would we need to have some what of a idea on what programs to use eg. if 2 of us were working on the theme song where one of us did the animation and the other created the audio format, what programs would work with which best?
Question: Are we going to use the old theme song and animation for the show or are we going to create our own just incase of legal stuff comes from Channel 10?

Question: Are we going to use the old theme song and animation for the show or are we going to create our own just incase of legal stuff comes from Channel 10? Answer 1: The limitations for segments/animations? I suppose it shouldn't be anything R-rated, no explicit sexual content or over-use of adult themes, but considering that the show will be aimed at people who grew up with the original and are now our age, as long as it's funny and won't offend too many people, it can be in the show. Answer 2: Most creative programs are able to render a finished product in a format which should be universally accepted by just about everything. Considering that this will all be going into a video-editing program anyway, we should be sure to export any segments or animations in video-friendly formats. Answer 3: Just in case Channel 10 try anything, we're gonna make our own intro animations and music so that they can't sue us. Cool, anyone else have any queries about the production? Or anything at all to do with the show?

Another Quick Question involving animation stage sizes. What is an acceptible size for the stage? I am currently working on a possible opening seqence and need to know a stage size before i start working on my background and placement of figuares and what ever else.
Would be nice to get an idea on what can be included in the first few seconds of the show. Things like text (size and/or font), What the name is for the show and what text needs to be written (eg. title, creditted to....).
I know that I am asking alot but it needs to be answered if we are actually gonna do this thing.

If you can, please make the stage size 800 by 600 pixels, and include the words "Cheezoids United" somewhere if possible. This may not end up being the actual name of the show, but it is a good motto anyway. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Kinda hit a snag on what else to put into the opening theme. currently still working on what ideas i do have for it but after animating what I want to put into it I have nothing else I can think of. Did you want a copy when I was done and just go with that or did you guys wanna help out and give me more ideas? I have yet to place the title of the show in yet but I will probably need to have some input from you guys so at least we will have some people liking what was put into the opening credits and so forth

Well, I really like the name "Cheezoids United", mainly because I've already made the banner, so let's go with that.
Also, I would like to see what you've got so far! Bring it over some time or send me a link.
